Assisting Asylum

Seekers/Refugees in Thailand

The Refuge of David - Asia, is currently working in Thailand with supporting the ayslum seekers who have arrived seeking Refugee status. The asylum seekers who have arrive to Thailand can be detained shortly upon arrival. If detained by the Thai Police (which happens to most) they will be sent to one of the IDC's (Immigration Detention Center) in Thailand. The conditions at the IDC's throughout Thailand are much worse than even the prisons that exist througout Thailand. Please scroll down below and watch our videos. Many of the individuals who are locked at the IDC's escaped their respective countries from either persecution, war or severe famine. The family's who are not in IDC's are facing the fear to be detained and sent to IDC as well and are also struggling with rent, food,  and their children cannot attend school at all.
