‘BLASPHEMY’: A man was arrested allegedly for making a “blasphemous” claim has been sent to the district jail on 14-day remand on Wednesday by Tandlianwala Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ashraf.



As per Tandlianwala city police, the suspect, a resident of Chak 422-GB, was arrested on Tuesday night for claiming to be a highly respected religious figure. The police, registered a case against the suspect under sections 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code and section 16 of the MPO on the complaint of one Bilal of the same village.

The complainant alleges in the FIR that the suspect made the blasphemous claim in a gathering at a mosque at Chak 427-GB.
